Appearance: The 2003 opens with a beautifully, deep garnet colour.
Aroma: Aromas of black pepper and ripe dark plums dominate the nose. Elements of eucalyptus, mint and cedar serve as complex components to the rich black fruit.
Palate: A solid core of richly textured fruit is framed by a finish of fine grained tannin and lingering spiciness.

Maturation: 90% American oak hogshead (30% new) and 10% French oak hogsheads for 17 months
