Limited Two is a reference to the best two barrels of our Shiraz for the vintage. We nurture the grapes from the vineyard with hand picking, open top fermentation and basket pressing.

Show Tasting Notes

Appearance: Intense inky black, hues of dark purple.

Aroma: Complex rich varietal aromas of black pepper, dark fruits, plum jam, sarsaparilla, cedar with underlying nuances of dark liquorice and prune rounding off the nose.

Palate: Limited Two Shiraz displays intense rich fruit concentration; almost treacle like. Abundant plum, dark berries, anise and black pepper give rise to firm tannins and remarkable length to the lingering palate. A Shiraz not for the faint hearted!

Sub Region: 100% Greenock Shiraz

Production: 60 cases

pH: 3.55

Total Acid: 7.2 g/L

Alcohol: 16.0%

Maturation: 6 months in new American oak hogsheads followed by 21 months maturation in tight grain French oak hogsheads

Cellar Potential: Superb fruit intensity will reward the drinker after 15+ years of careful cellaring

HEAT POLICY

Wine is heat sensitive. During the warmer months we reserve the right to hold orders in instances of extreme heat, until there is a clear path of non-extreme temperatures between us and you. All orders are packed and stored safely in our cellar awaiting better conditions to send the wine when it can be more safely dispatched to you.
