Limited Two Shiraz 2010
Hand Picked | Basket Pressed
Limited Two is crafted from the finest two barrels of Shiraz produced from a given vintage. The 2010 Limited Two Shiraz was sourced from a single vineyard much like the 2004 and 2008. The grapes were grown on the family’s East Block “rod and spur” vineyard located in the Greenock district, Barossa Valley.
The grapes were harvested on the 21st of March, de-stemmed and fully crushed into a small three-tonne open top fermenter. Fermentation and maceration of the skins lasted for 14 days, while punch downs and a rack and return were implemented daily.
Show Tasting Notes
Appearance: Impenetrable black from core almost to rim showing youth with a touch of crimson/red.
Aroma: An alluring array of mixed dark fruits – black current, mulberry and dark plum entices one to look deeper and unveil the dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. Subtle hints of cedar is enticing with the developing leather aromas!
Palate: The front, mid and back palate are covered in spades with multi-black fruits, dark chocolate, liquorice and cracked black pepper. The tannins are the driving force of this wine but with impeccable balance and plenty of youth!
