Lily’s Cane Cut Semillon 2022 – 375ml

This sweet dessert wine was produced by carefully cutting the fruiting cane stopping the sap flow to the grapes. The fruit dehydrates under the Barossa summer sun on the vine which increases the concentration of flavour and natural sugars. After 27 days the dehydrated grapes are gently handpicked, whole bunch pressed, wild yeast fermented and matured in French oak for 6 months. The wine is then bottled unfined and is vegan friendly.
Lily’s Cane Cut Semillon is named after our only daughter and is the second release of this wine, 10 years between releases.
Appearance: Bright yellow gold
Aroma: Fragrant honeysuckle, orange peel, candied lemon are noticed first, followed by apricot and tropical fruits. Subtle vanilla and nutmeg spice to add another layer to the nose.
Palate: The flavours are rich and concentrated with a smooth and silky texture. The honeyed flavour profile is entwined with marmalade and candied citrus. A touch of dried apricot to finish. The acidity is balanced with the natural sugars and leaves a clean full flavour finish.
