Jack’s Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2012

78% Barossa Semillon | 22% Eden Valley Sauvignon Blanc

Semillon is Barossa Valley’s, best white grape variety and this Semillon was produced from an old vine vineyard planted in the early 60’s to clone 143. This clone is early ripening and a shy bearer only producing a small number of bunches per vine with golden berries and intense flavours. This Semillon was matured on lees for 6 months to give extra texture, adding to the mouth feel prior to being blended with the Sauvignon Blanc.
Sauvignon Blanc is at home in the Adelaide Hills, the cooler conditions help this variety to keep its acidity, liveliness and lifted aromatics.
