This Shiraz is sourced from two vineyards grown on the Kalleske’s Greenock property.

Show Tasting Notes

Appearance:  Intense opaque black-ruby.

Aroma: Vibrant blackberry, mulberry and plum fruit are harmonious with leather notes, liquorice, black pepper and framed by sweet cedary oak.

Palate: Rich black fruits are integrated beautifully with dark liquorice, chocolate and cedar. A tight core of acid and ripe grippy tannins leaves a full lingering finish.

Region: 100% Barossa Valley

Sub Region: 100% Greenock Shiraz

Production: 649 cases

pH: 3.52

Total Acid: 6.80 g/L

Alcohol: 15.0%

Maturation: 60% American oak hogsheads (25% new) and 40 % French oak hogsheads (20% new)

Cellar Potential: 15-20 years with careful cellaring

Wine is heat sensitive. During the warmer months we reserve the right to hold orders in instances of extreme heat, until there is a clear path of non-extreme temperatures between us and you. All orders are packed and stored safely in our cellar awaiting better conditions to send the wine when it can be more safely dispatched to you.
