Winemaker's Note
"The 2022 Limited Two Shiraz is a statement of place and vintage—an uncompromising expression of our Greenock estate and our commitment to producing wines of exceptional character only when the season permits. The result is a Shiraz of power, elegance and longevity, worthy of its place among the finest wines of the Barossa Valley." - Shawn Kalleske

There are a few core touchpoints that sit at the heart of the Laughing Jack Wines story.
The most central is the vineyard itself. As an estate-grown winery, everything begins there. The vines, the soil, and the seasons are not just inputs but the foundation of identity. This is where the work starts and where the character of the wine is formed—slowly, patiently, and with close attention to detail.
Equally important is the winemaking space—the place where craft is most visible. It represents Shawn's hands-on, considered approach behind every wine: small-scale, detail-driven, and shaped by a family who are deeply connected to what they are making. It’s not about machinery or scale, but about care and intention.
Then there is the Cellar Door, which acts as the emotional centre of the brand experience. It’s where the wines are shared and where people directly feel the atmosphere of Laughing Jack—warm, intimate, and grounded in place. The dark, timbered, softly lit space becomes a physical expression of the brand’s personality.
Finally, the wine itself is the most meaningful product touchpoint. Each bottle carries the story forward—estate-grown fruit, careful winemaking, and a balance of refinement and ease. It’s the most direct expression of everything the brand stands for: craft without pretence, elegance without distance, and warmth in every detail.

Wine is heat sensitive. During the warmer months we reserve the right to hold orders in instances of extreme heat, until there is a clear path of non-extreme temperatures between us and you. All orders are packed and stored safely in our cellar awaiting better conditions to send the wine when it can be more safely dispatched to you.
Alternatively, you may request immediate dispatch despite the heat (at your risk) by choosing ‘Yes’.
