2010 Limited Two Shiraz Release

Back to NEWS

02Thrilled, overwhelmed & elated are just 3 words that sum up how our small team felt on the day of our 2010 Limited Two Shiraz release.

The wine SOLD OUT in just 7 hours of going live online for our members pre-release which meant we had to cancel the anticipated public release booked for 1st August 2016.

The 2010 is the 3rd release of the Limited Two Shiraz following on from the original 2004 and the stellar 2008 vintages. It represents the best 2 barrels of a given vintage which means only around 60 dozen is produced. Barrel tastings are conducted blind during classifications but interestingly each barrel selected to date has come from the same patch of ‘Rod & Spur’ pruned vines on the family’s estate in Greenock.

James Halliday scored the 2010 Limited Two Shiraz 97 points in his 2015 Australian Wine Companion, he remarked “It has all the usual bells and whistles…every bit as complex as expected…and the balance is impeccable”.

The success of this release again reiterates the importance of being a member on our mailing list. To avoid the disappointment of missing out on future releases by receiving first access and priority to purchase, please click here…

HEAT POLICY

Wine is heat sensitive. During the warmer months we reserve the right to hold orders in instances of extreme heat, until there is a clear path of non-extreme temperatures between us and you. All orders are packed and stored safely in our cellar awaiting better conditions to send the wine when it can be more safely dispatched to you.

Alternatively, you may request immediate dispatch despite the heat (at your risk) by choosing ‘Yes’.
