If you’re ready to resurface after ‘Lockdown’ like we are then why not support a couple of local family businesses and join our Winemaker Shawn Kalleske for an exclusive and intimate event. Hosted by Sid, Tanya and their wonderful staff at 1918 Bistro & Grill in Tanunda, Barossa Valley.
FRIDAY LONG LUNCH: FOUR COURSES INCLUDES WINE
Join the discussion around the age old topics of ‘Cork v’s Screw Cap’ and the aging of ‘Standard Bottle v’s Large Format.’ Have you ever wondered does cork really age wine better, faster, slower that screw cap (stelvin)? Or can you really age a large format bottle (1.5ltr or 3ltr) longer than a standard 750ml bottle? Join us to find out first hand for yourself how these variables really affect wine.
Shawn will carefully guide you through an informative tasting including a glass each of – 2005 Greenock Shiraz (750ml cork), 2005 Greenock Shiraz (750ml screw cap/stelvin), 2005 Greenock Shiraz (1.5ltr magnum) and 2005 Greenock Shiraz (3ltr double magnum).
It’s sure to be an insightful afternoon of great conversation and a memorable experience to look back at the 2005 vintage. All set in a relaxed but intimate setting with strictly limited seats available.
Enjoy a delicious 4 course menu consisting of…
1st – asparagus, prosciutto, caramelised onion, blue cheese paired with 2021 Jack’s Semillon (pre-release tasting)
