The grapes are sourced from each of the Kalleske’s three vineyards and were hand picked at their optimum. Berries were small and of intense flavour concentration with solid ripe tannins.

Show Tasting Notes

Aroma: Rich black Shiraz aromas of pepper, spice, blackberry and ripe plum fill the nose with accents of mint and eucalyptus framed by sweet cedary oak.

Palate: The palate is beautifully structured with extreme depth and concentration of flavour with rich black fruits, licorice and a long finish of plush, fine grained tannins.

Region: 100% Barossa Valley

Sub Region: 100% Greenock Shiraz

Production: 1500 cases

pH: 3.58

Total Acid: 6.41 g/L

Alcohol: 15%

Maturation: 60% American oak hogshead (20% new) and 40% French oak hogsheads for 20 months

Cellar Potential: 10-15 years with careful cellaring

HEAT POLICY

Wine is heat sensitive. During the warmer months we reserve the right to hold orders in instances of extreme heat, until there is a clear path of non-extreme temperatures between us and you. All orders are packed and stored safely in our cellar awaiting better conditions to send the wine when it can be more safely dispatched to you.
